okay u noe we everytime go to our usual place for badminton rite? not saying it is not gd la. but i found smt even better.
for the first time ever i am organising an event!!!
on friday 19 june, we r going to play badminton in an indoor hall! okay. is near hougang swimming complex. the one wif the gym. if still dunno where it is, plz tag. is from 3 to 6pm. aft that we can go eat dinner or smt. i wont reveal the total cost yet. but i will say that each person need to pay between $1 to $2.

if majority is okay with it, maybe we can book a badminton court and play? then everyone share cost or wadever. can play on a POR-fessional court then can act POR-fessional mah. but is dowan, then nvm. we can still play at our usual place. some advantages include less wind, shelter, got toilet. th last one vry important! so consider.
oh and take care of urselves dun let swine flu, bird flu, dog flu, cow flu, human flu wadever flu get u. rmb: we dun like flus.

As many of you might know, there is a rather seriously world health issue right now -
Swine influenza H1N1 type A (if i remembered correctly)
It is assumed to have originated from Mexico, yeah even though it's far they have already had a small outbreak in New York, i repeat, freaking NEW YORK.
Around 150 people died and nearly 2400 people infected in Mexico.
One death in New York.
Then again, this is not to say it will actually hit Singapore, but there's still a possibility of course.
I therefore urge you guys/gals, please take care of yourselves during this period of emergency.
-Go see a doctor when you're not feeling well
-Stay away from live animals (except your pets, take care of them)
-Follow school procedures properly
Let's hope and have faith in our World Health Organisation, and let this emergency end soon.
Until then, take care.

Does HCI have a philosophy module?
If you havent noticed we are all getting less and less bonded (yeah so called) and well, i guess we can't really do anything about it. I won't try to do a lot a about it, yeah at least.
Might sound a little sad, might sound like a good-bye, but no, just keep those fond memories close to yourselves, and even if we never meet again, we'll still be in each other's hearts.
Hey, then again, there's the internet =.=
So, the least you could do is to visit this blog often, tag it often, and post (hopefully relevant stuff that might invoke some discussion) often to contribute to this blog.
If you see it, in a way, this is our last form of "more effective community" online. If you enjoyed your time as a class, why not help preserve the fond memories by spending some time on this blog?

HEYYO! I'm very kind of surprised to hear that there are 20 or less people going..
If that's the case, NOT EVEN HALF THE CLASS IS GOING! then is this even called a class chalet?
This may be a boring 大道理 post but YOU GOTTA LISTEN , i tell you...
We only started this class chalet thing last year, and i know its hard to contact everyone.
BUT i suppose last year more than 20 people turned up right? even the class bbq had a better response than this..
There are a few reasons( i think) why some of you dont want to go/ not goingi):
1) friends not going, feel left out
2) very expensive, chalet fee plus expenses
3) transport
4) no bbq
Here's my "response" to those reasons:
1) i know you are very close to your friends, but we've been in the same class for at least 2 years, dont tell me you dont have other friends?
2) the chalet fee can be negotiable, ONLY IF MORE PEOPLE GO..
As for expenses, it's up to you! you wanna spend how much on what, we wont bother!
3)Okay, i know travelling on a bus with big bags is very 麻烦, you can just pack lesser stuff( if you can), or put your bag on the floor of the bus when you board.
( i dont really have a good suggestion to solve this problem) :X
4)Now, you guys think about it. Look below;

chalet= boring, dont want to go
IS THIS TRUE? Does it mean that if you have no bbq, you wont have fun? We wouldnt want to be responsible for anything that happens to you.. Like getting your hand burnt, have diarrhea etc. Look at what the organisers have planned for you all! Once their school holidays started, they have already started thinking about the chalet. & they even went down to check the prices, in order to help you see how we can save more money etc. If you're not going because of this, you are really wasting their efforts...
one more reason that i hope it would not apply to some of you:
last year no need to pay, go! free what!
this year need to pay, dont go, need to pay, not like last year!
LISTEN UP! it is still the money problem right. Dont expect people to sponsor the chalet every year, not asif we're so RICH! Last year was because jerome booked/sponsored? that's why we need not pay a cent for the chalet! SO people, please do not take it for granted that you need not pay last year okay?
I really really hope more people will go =) Anyways, its only once a year, not once a month okay! Please appreciate the good times that we will have/had together as a class~

As some(actually 1-2 people) might know the committee went to downtown east today to get a better look at the pricings and peak hours etc of the entertainment hubs at downtown east,and we are glad to announce that,we have managed to do up a schedule that would help save about10-12sgd compared to the last schedule posted here.
And also,just as a notice,Alina and Fujie are now the Welfare Department heads,so if any problems regarding welfare during chalet please approach them yeah.Or other comm members.
Also,the new schedule goes:
DAY 1
Lunch at home so you all can save money -> Meet at Hougang Mall at 12.30pm

Unpack/Clean up if needed until 3.15pm --> Small briefing til 3.15pm --> Free time til 4pm

-Watch movie at Cathay Cineplex is a standard $7 for students.
-GRAND TOTAL FOR ENTERTAINMENT:$7+$10.20=$17.20
Though,that is not counting the Escape theme park,but i advise you not to go ah since it's $8.80 per entry.
Money saving tip for food from Kelvin:
Yeah this is from me.You all should know that most of the dining places there are rather..."high class" so naturally,are more expensive.Though there are still cheaper priced food,you can also have free food by bringing your favourite cup noodles(or similar) as a hot water flask will be provided.(Heh but still,need to confirm what hot water flask means ==)

Wake up around 9am --> Breakfast/Whatever til 10am --> Bowling 10.30am-2.30pm

Swimming/Whatever til 5.30pm --> Dinner/Bathe til 7.30pm --> Play in rooms til 8.30pm

So anyways about the MONEY,in detail,entertainment wise(provided you follow schedule):
-Bowling at Orchid Bowling: Non-peak hour,Student price is $3 per round,so play 3 rounds it's $9,and for borrowing the bowling shoes costsc$1.20,the sub-total is $10.20.
-Watch movie at Cathay Cineplex is a standard $7 for students.
-GRAND TOTAL FOR ENTERTAINMENT:$7+$10.20=$17.20
Though,that is not counting the Escape theme park,but i advise you not to go ah since it's $8.80 per entry.
Money saving tip for food from Kelvin:
Yeah this is from me.You all should know that most of the dining places there are rather..."high class" so naturally,are more expensive.Though there are still cheaper priced food,you can also have free food by bringing your favourite cup noodles(or similar) as a hot water flask will be provided.(Heh but still,need to confirm what hot water flask means ==)
And also,base fee will be $30.

even though i got the pw and user yesterday, i'm trying to be more proactive in keeping this blog alive. i read about previous posts posted over 2007 and noticed the 6-10 news was stopped suddenly wif only 9 episodes to date. over these few days, i nicholas, shall try to save 6-10 news which i and colin created together. still looking for news now, but stay tuned...
